We loved our time at the Aracari Villa. It was so quiet and peaceful. The bed and pillows were great, the pool was wonderful and the view of the jungle was just what we wanted. It was also amazingly close to town, an easy walk, at least into town. It’s a steep driveway, so we took a taxi back. We saw monkeys, a grey-necked wood rail, many butterflies, and a basilisk lizard. Birds were all around, but it was hard to see them because the jungle is so shaded.
Andres, the concierge, was always ready to help with any of our needs. One day while we were fishing, the monkeys came and had a pool-party in the backyard. They knocked a glass topped table into the pool, shattering the glass. The next morning, Andres had a man there to clean up the pool. He also came out right away when we accidentally messed up the tv channels.
We had a wonderful stay, and will definitely be back.
